The aerial arts – Work experience.

The aerial arts originated in cirque de soleil, it is a force of dance that takes place in the air.

Or poles (Both in and out of the air) :

Here are some more examples of the arts that I love –

There are many reasons as to why I enjoy this form of dance and self expression, personally my main reason for liking it is the challenge of it all. It’s not often I get to do something physically challenging and fun; being a naturally fit person makes it more difficult to find a hobby that I really have to try at, too.

The aerial arts involve not only your body but also your mind. It involves the music playing, every movement, every pointed toe and aching muscle is pulled to attention. There is a sense of gratification, of improvement and of learning.

You can create whole routines or freestyle and learn new moves or combos, You can join competitions, make art/photos/videos, teach or simply do it for fun and fitness. There is a wide range of reasons as to why people would, do and should do the aerial arts and this is one of the reasons I love it so much.

Being able to share my love for the aerial arts is, in itself, a brilliant thing to be able to do. I was able to teach/assist at the Luna Acro studio for months after only attending two sessions but it had to be discontinued due to medical reasons.

If I were to do anything in the creative industry professionally I’d like for it to be based around film/video making, photography of the arts or teaching. Not teaching anything in specific but the aerial arts is honestly one of my favourite things and will hopefully be a large part of my life.
